The benefits of wood construction
In the future, as the world's population grows, the need for construction will increase. Efforts must be made to minimise the use of non-renewable resources and the environmental impacts of the material production. The use of wood in construction reduces these disadvantages.
There is enough wood in Finland. Forests are managed in accordance with sustainable development, and more forest is growing than is being used. Wood is a naturally self-renewable material. As wood grows in our forests close to us, its transportation costs are also minimal. The timber used in Crosslam CLT-boards comes from sustainably managed PEFC-certified forests and is supplied from the nearest sawmills possible.
